The Lost Recipe for Happiness has gone back to print for a third time. Hooray!
If you are in Pueblo, please come celebrate a launch party with me on Saturday, January 10, 2-4 pm at Barnes and Noble. (That’s this Saturday in case your brain is as foggy as mine after the holidays!)
If you’re in Colorado Springs, the launch party will be one week later, Saturday January 17, 1-3 pm, at Beth Anne’s Book Corner, 1532 N Circle Drive.
I just received a copy of the Australian edition and it is really pretty. It will be out there on February 1.
Sorry to post and run….it’s just a teeny bit hectic this week (kid, extra kittens, book releases, newletters, not to mention actually writing pages every day).
What great news!! Congrats! Can’t wait to read my copy. 🙂
That is great news! I just received your book in the mail yesterday. And, my new book club is going to read your book – it’s second in line to be read. So, they made me promise not to read your book until everyone gets it. Shhh – I might have to cheat…
A third print run! That’s awesome Barbara. Congratulations.
I’m really looking forward to 1 Feb for the downunder release.
Oh, to be in Colorado this winter! Wish I could make it, but I’ll have to settle for reading and dreaming. My copies of LOST came in the mail yesterday and, like Barb, I’ve put it on the schedule for our book club. Lucky me — only 2 more weeks ’til our meeting.
Congratulations!
I wish I could hop on a plane and come to Colorado. Barbara, I’m loving every minute of this book and I just don’t want it to end. It’s wonderful!! Congratulations!!!
What wonderful news, Barbara!
Am waiting for my copy to make it to Victoria and I can hardly wait to read it!
Congratulations! That’s wonderful news.
WooHoo! Congrats, Barbara! I’d been hoping your name change wouldn’t impact your sales. So glad to worry for nothing. 🙂
And, when I went to Barnes and Noble this weekend (kids with gift cards burning holes in their pockets), I checked out your book — face out, five copies. Very nice.
If I could be, I would be, soooo definitely. As it is, I will have to be there in spirit.
Conrats, Barb!!!
Uh, I meant congrats, Barb!! Lord. What a lulu.
Thanks, you guys. Really, I promise I’ll be back with more useful, fun stuff in the next few days. Writing tidbits, cooking tidbits, writing life….. tonight it’s baklava in the oven and my son talking and talking. 🙂
I have only a handful of pages left in The Lost Recipe. I have been reading it in little bits and pieces trying to make it last as long as I can. My daughter and I made Juan’s carne last night and had the left overs tonight with piles of fresh flour tortillas – perfect on a snowy winter day.
I am so enjoying the story, though I new I would. I will have to go back and re-read another of your books when I am done to hold onto the mood! Wanted to let you know that I got my Kindle edition today as well so I can take it with me always with the crazy business travel schedule.
Loving it…..
Thanks for posting, Scarlet. SO glad you enjoyed it!
Wonderful news Barbara… can’t wait for Feb one in to rush out and purchase! Amanda xx
Barbara, I just finished the book. FYI: It was cover side out at my Canadian bookstore.
I loved the book. It’s lush and beautiful. Emotionally riveting and passionated. The themes are complex and it just made me want to smile and cry, and smile and cry some more. Thanks.
Sue, thank you! Smile and cry, smile and cry is a beautiful compliment. 🙂
Finished the book a few days ago and had to assimilate it before I was ready to talk. Already in the mail to a family member. Way to go Barbara. Great book number ?? in the long list of your great books. Especially rich with the recipes and adept magic realism. Such a wonderful, cross category creation. Thank you!
Great comments, Scarlet, thank you.
