So, I haven’t been here much. I’m teaching a couple of classes, writing quite a few essays and articles, and plotting out the new book. Feeling exasperated that I still haven’t had a training walk. Sunday, the weather was miserable again–not awful, just that blustery cold that makes you (me) want to kill someone if I have to be out in it very long. Snow is pretty. Wind is the Great Evil.
This is the work part of the writing life….staying home and writing, getting up in the morning, eating breakfast, shuffling off to the computer, writing some pages or plotting something or sketching out character arcs, then walking the dogs, then eating lunch and going back to the computer for awhile. Catch up with episodes of Six Feet Under (I am almost finished with the series) and watch Project Runway with CR and count the days until the new Top Chef (tomorrow!). Not even really cooking anything interesting, since it’s the between season.
In May, I’ll start traveling again, first trip will be to NYC to celebrate Eldest’s accomplishments. It’s been awhile. Starting to get a bit twitchy. But, balance in all things, right?
Anyone else have spring fever?
Yep, am getting a little itchy to do some spring cleaning. Already started with re-spackling some areas in my kitchen and then will re-caulk the area around the sink and then…~pant-~pant~pant~, paint the kitchen. Damn, am tired of just thinking about it…lol.
Also, am getting to the editing portion (finally) of the NaNoWriMo book that I did in November.
The sun is out, a slight breeze is blowing and things are hopefully looking up.
Love the new look of the site!
Oooh, Six Feet Under. You must report back after you’ve finished – I’m dying to hear what you think of the last 10 minutes.
I am almost there, but let me just say I watched the episode …er…how do say this without spoilers. The most affecting episode of television I think I’ve ever seen. About David, and Nate.
