Not much time this morning, but I’ve been playing with photos and this is one I still love, from a WONDERFUL day with my friend Robin La Fevers at the mission in Santa Barbara. More later. Maybe.
(I also found some really gorgeous photos of Leo, the most photogenic cat in the world. So, no, he is not suddenly reincarnated.)
That is absolutely breathtaking. Good job! I had a new camera on my trip to England, so mostly experimentation and not so many great photos, but I’m hoping to glean a few good ones! The important thing is it weighed about a quarter of the one I had so I actually got to enjoy my walking about without a constnatly aching back. And the point of traveling is to be present and not just get great photos, right? 🙂
Absolutely, Julie. What camera did you buy? And how did you find it?
I’m currently looking at the best cell phone cameras I can buy. I’m always somewhere with only the cell and think, “wow!” so a little better would be a great improvement.
Welcome back!
I got a Panasonic Lumix TZ5. Originally, I purchased a Nikon Coolpix s560 (I think), but I wasn’t crazy about the sample pictures I took, so I ordered this one on Amazon instead. Great reviews on both, and the Panasonic was a little heavier, but had a longer optical zoom and a few more features I wanted. They were in a similar price range. The smallest cameras like these don’t take pictures as well as heavier ones because of shake, but it did pretty well now that I’ve gone back and looked at my photos again with a less critical eye. The closeups aren’t great except by chance and with absolutely no breeze, though, which kind of bummed me out.
My husband’s Blackberry phone takes halfway decent shots. I think a cell with a flash might help sometimes, too.
Thanks for stopping by my blog and answering my question. I think I’ve come up with a plan that makes good use of the December slow down.
I might have been ready earlier if I hadn’t gone to England, but it was the best trip of my life and well worth the delay on my querying. I’d go back tomorrow if I could.
Just watched Into the Wild on DVD. Watch if you get a chance and haven’t. Really great movie.
Absolutely gorgeous!
Beautiful, Barbara!
I would like a new digital camera. I’m ready to upgrade.
Thank you for sharing.
